Muscat: Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, today welcomed Salman Yousef Al Dosari, Minister of Media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at his office. The meeting was a part of the Saudi minister's visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, the two officials emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal and historical ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia. They noted the ongoing progress in bilateral cooperation across various domains, driven by the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
The ministers explored opportunities to enhance media partnerships between their countries. They discussed collaborative efforts in journalism, television, radio, and digital and electronic media. Initiatives for professional training and the exchange of expertise among media personnel were also considered, all aimed at mutual benefit.
The dialogue touched on recent developments in the media field, particularly the rapid digital transformation. The ministers deliberated on the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence to improve media content quality. They also acknowledged the significant role media plays in awareness-building and guidance.
The meeting included the participation of several officials from both nations.
