Manama, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, received the Bahrain Writers Association Board of Directors, led by Dr. Rashid Najem. The meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation and highlighted the importance of the national media's role in supporting the intellectual and cultural movement within the Kingdom. The minister commended the association's role in advancing intellectual and cultural movement. Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised that prioritising thought, culture, and creativity serves as a fundamental pillar in the Kingdom's comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown prince and Prime Minister. The minister highlighted the association's efforts in advancing Bahrain's cultural and intellectual movement over the past half-century. He commended the role of the association in projecting Bahrain's civilised image, and playing an important role in enhancing societa l awareness. Dr. Al Noaimi commended the association's efforts in supporting Bahraini talents and encouraging literary and intellectual research and studies. He expressed the ministry's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the association and highlighting leading pioneering and youth Bahraini figures in creativity, thought, and culture. On his part, Dr. Najem, thanked the minister for his support of the literary, intellectual, and cultural movement in the Kingdom. He underscored the role of national media in supporting the association's efforts to raise awareness of the importance and impact of thought and culture on societal growth and progress.
