Manama: The Ministry of Information participated today in the exhibition accompanying the 46th GCC Summit, set to begin on December 3 in Manama, Bahrain. Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Bahrain's Minister of Information, and Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, visited the Ministry's pavilion following the opening of the Media Centre.
According to Oman News Agency, the pavilion highlighted the Ministry's applications, websites, and social media accounts, showcasing the advancements in readable, visual, audio, and electronic media content. It also included tools for delivering news services, providing visitors insight into the content offered. The pavilion underscored the Oman News Agency's (ONA) evolution in media content and the electronic tools employed for news delivery.
The Directorate General of Electronic Media presented the digital platform "Ayn" within the pavilion. This platform offers archival radio, television, and audiobook content that embodies Omani culture and identity. It also demonstrates advancements in the media industry, particularly in digital content. Additionally, the Children's Interface, a dedicated media platform for children, aims to promote national identity and nurture Omani talents.
The Media Centre features work halls, a press conference area, a hall for visual and audio media, a photography section, and private work booths alongside media studios. It also includes a digital library and a photo exhibition organized by the GCC General Secretariat, showcasing the activity of GCC news agencies since the GCC's inception.
Moreover, the Media Centre is equipped with large screens for live broadcasts of the Summit's proceedings from the main meeting hall. Arab television organizations have dedicated studios for live broadcasting, and a specialized section is available for satellite broadcasting in partnership with Bahrain TV.
