South al batinah: The Directorate General of Social Development in South Al Batinah Governorate organized a ceremony in the Wilayat of Rustaq to commemorate the 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025'. The event was held in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Youth in the governorate.

According to Oman News Agency, the ceremony was attended by over 120 persons with disabilities who are affiliated with the 'Al Wafa Centre for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities' in Al Rustaq. The event also saw participation from members of private rehabilitation centers and students with disabilities integrated into government schools.

The event featured a variety of training and artistic workshops designed to develop the skills of the participants. Additionally, a sports program was included, which encouraged participation from persons with disabilities to promote a spirit of positive competition.

The ceremony was part of the government's efforts to highlight the abilities of persons with disabilities and to reinforce the concept of integrating this segment into society. The theme for the 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025' was 'Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress'.
