International Federation of Journalists to file lawsuit against Israel in int’l Criminal Court

Member of the Executive Board of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Ali Youssef, said today that the federation will be a partner in the lawsuit filed against the Israeli occupation in the International Criminal Court.

The move came after the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate succeeded in persuading the federation to file a lawsuit against Israel in the International Criminal Court, he said.

“Palestinian journalists are fighters who face on a daily basis the aggression of the occupation in all fields as well as the main project of the occupation to expel the Palestinians from their land,” Youssef told official Palestine TV.

He stressed that the general supervisor of the official Palestinian media, Minister Ahmed Assaf, succeeded in highlighting the truth that confirms the ongoing Israeli aggression against the official media and the Palestinian people.

Youssef noted that choosing Nasser Abu Baker recently as Vice-President of the IFJ was the result of the continuous Palestinian effort, support for Palestine, and rejection of the Israeli aggression against media professionals, especially after the assassination of Shireen Abu Akleh.
