Israeli occupation forces ordered today the confiscation of 45 dunums of Palestinian land in the town of Deir Istiya, in the occupied West Bank province of Salfit, according to local sources.
Moath Salman, the mayor of the town, said Israeli occupation forces handed the town’s municipality a notification informing them of an Israeli military order to confiscate 45 dunums of land belonging to Palestinians from the town.
The land to be confiscated is adjacent to the illegal Israeli settlement of Emanuel, illegally built on Palestinian land near the town.
In the meantime, Israeli occupation authorities handed notifications asking eight Palestinian landlords in the nearby town of Deir Ballout to stop the construction of residential and commercial structures in the town.
