Israel orders construction on six Palestinian-owned houses in Bethlehem to stop

BETHLEHEM, Israeli occupation authorities today ordered a number of Palestinian residents in the village of Artas to the south of Bethlehem to stop the construction work on their privately-owned houses, according to a local activist.

Coordinator of the national committee against the wall and settlements, Hassan Brijieh, informed WAFA that Israeli forces handed six residents in the village of Artas notices ordering them to stop the construction work on their homes which are still in the construction stage.

The Israeli occupation forces have recently escalated their attacks against Palestinians in the Bethlehem area, including the demolition of homes, and the seizure of dozens of agricultural dunums, among others.
