JENIN, Israeli occupation authorities notified today evening for the demolition of six houses under construction in Khirbet Faris in Yabad area to the south of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, according to a local official.
Head of Zebda village council told WAFA Israeli forces delivered notices to demolish six houses under construction belonging to Palestinian residents in Khirbet Faris, citing unpermitted construction as a pretext.
The notices gave the homes owners until July 12th to appeal the demolitions at Israeli courts.
Khirbet Faris is located within the structural plan of Zabada Village Council, where the council has a few days ago paved a street and changed a water network with the support of the Development and Lending Fund for Local Authorities and in cooperation with the European Union.
Israel’s planning and building policy in the West Bank is aimed at preventing Palestinian development and dispossessing Palestinians of their land, said the Israeli information center for human rights in occupied territories, B’Tselem.
