SALFIT, The Israeli occupation authorities announced today its intention to seize around 20 dunums of Palestinian-owned land in the Khallet Hassan area of Salfit governorate under the pretext that the lands are “state property.”

Salfit Governor Abdullah Kamil condemned the occupation practices in the Khallet Hassan area, noting that the illegal Israeli policies and practices, including house demolitions, land seizure, and destruction of Palestinian livelihoods are meant to preserve the colonial settlement project at the expense of the Palestinians.

He called on the international community to pressure the occupation government to stop its practices, affirming that the silence of the world encourages Israel to commit more crimes and flagrant violations of the Geneva Conventions, international law, and international humanitarian law.
