JENIN, Israeli forces today prevented Thaher al-‘Abed village council in Yaba’ad town to the southwest of Jenin from digging a water well to serve the village.

Head of the village council Tareq ‘Amarneh, told WAFA a large military force stormed the eastern part of the village and prevented the council from resuming the digging work of the well, which was funded by the Jenin agriculture directorate, under the pretext it is located in area C of the West Bank and for lacking a building permit.

The villagers reportedly fended off the forces and prevented them from confiscating the excavator that was used to dig the well.
