Israeli military stop construction orders issued to two Palestinian families in the northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, The Israeli military today ordered two Palestinian families in the community of Humsa, in the northern Jordan Valley, to stop construction on structures, according to local activist Aref Daraghmeh.

He said the order included stopping construction on tents and structures for the two families.

Mutaz Bisharat, a local official, said the soldiers also took pictures of the residences and animal barns in the same area, which is often a prelude to demolishing them.

Palestinians in the Jordan Valley, who are primarily a herding community, are facing an Israeli campaign to remove them from their homes and land under the pretext of using the area for military training.
