GAZA, The Israeli navy detained this morning four Palestinian fishermen while sailing off the northern Gaza coast, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said the navy opened fire in the direction of the fishermen and then detained them and seized their boat.

The fishermen were sailing within the six nautical miles Israel allows for the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, on land, Israeli soldiers opened fire and shot tear gas at farmers working in their lands near the border fence with Israel east of Gaza City forcing them to leave the area, reported WAFA correspondent.
