Israeli navy sinks Gaza fisherman’s lighting boat

GAZA, Israeli navy ships opened fire this morning at Gaza fishermen’s boats across from the Rafah coast, south of the Gaza Strip, sinking a lighting boat, reported WAFA correspondent.

He said the Israeli navy attacked with machine gunfire the fishermen’s boats sailing across from the city of Rafah, hitting and sinking the lighting boat owned by a local fisherman. The fishermen were not hurt.

The navy attacks against fishermen along the coast of the Gaza Strip are a daily occurrence in an attempt to prevent the fishermen from making a badly needed living in an impoverished Gaza Strip besieged by Israel for 16 years and devastated by five destructive Israeli military assaults.
