Israeli occupation forces detain 23 Palestinians mainly in Hebron and Jerusalem districts

RAMALLAH, The Israeli occupation forces detained today and last night at least 23 Palestinians in the occupied territories but mainly from the Hebron and Jerusalem districts, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

It said that 14 Palestinians were detained from the Hebron district, including four from the city of Hebron, four from Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron city, three from Yatta, south of Hebron, and one each from Sair and al-Shyoukh, east of Hebron, and from Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

In addition, the forces rounded up four Palestinians from occupied East Jerusalem and four others from the town of Hizma, east of Jerusalem.

One person was detained in the village of Talfeet, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Meanwhile, the PPS said Israel has detained 4847 Palestinians since the start of this year through the end of August, including 585 minors and 92 women.

It also issued 1365 administrative detention orders since the beginning of the year.
