Israeli settlers Monday assault Palestinian citizens in a number of villages and towns near the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah as the soldiers detained one youth.

According to eye witnesses, Israeli forces detained Sha’ban al-Miqdadi, 22, from Um al-Sharayet, Ramallah city, after stopping and inspecting his vehicle.

The sources added that the fanatic settlers attacked the house of Mohammad Abu Jarrah, a Palestinian resident from the village of Sinjil, directly causing destruction to it as the villagers fought off the extremist colonists.

Settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Aadi Aad stoned Palestinian vehicles on the main road near the village of al-Mughayyer, causing destruction to them as other settlers stoned vehicles near Um Safa, north of Ramallah.

No casualties were reported, however.
