Israeli settlers attack Palestinian homes, uproot trees in the West Bank

Israeli settlers today uprooted and damaged dozens of olive trees in lands belonging to Palestinians in the village of Sinjil, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.

Mo’taz Tawafsheh, head of the Sinjil village council, told WAFA that a number of settlers sneaked into the village and uprooted about 80 trees.

Earlier this day, the fanatic settlers attacked and caused damage to a house east of the village.

Meanwhile, the extremist settlers attacked residential areas in Khirbet Yerza and al-Maleh in the northern Jordan Valley.

Activist Mo’taz Bsharat said that the settlers ransacked the homes in the areas and caused damage to water tanks and even threatened of killing the residents.

According to Aref Daraghmeh, an activist, said that the colonists raided citizens’ homes in the area of Hamamat al-Maleh and proceeded to cause damages to solar panels owned by one of the families.

He noted that the settlers are still in the area.
