Israeli settlers briefly detain three Palestinians near Nablus

Colonial Israeli settlers briefly detained three Palestinian civilians today near the village of Beit Dajan, to the east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Salem Abu Jeish, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that a group of armed Israeli settlers briefly detained three Palestinians at gunpoint for a few hours before letting them go.

Violence by Israeli settlers is commonplace in the occupied West Bank, and is never prosecuted by the occupation authorities.

Attacks by settlers against Palestinians particularly intensified during the past two months, with Israeli occupation army turning a blind eye to the violence spree and providing the settlers with protection.
