NABLUS, Israeli settlers continued today their unrestrained rampage in the occupied West Bank, closing main roads and attacking Palestinians and their properties.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official, said settlers blocked the main road linking the northern West Bank cities of Nablus and Qalqilya near the village of Jett, preventing Palestinian traffic on the road and attacking commuters.

He said the settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinian civilians in the northern West Bank areas by raiding towns and villages without the Israeli army doing anything to stop them.

The army actually provides protection to the settlers as they break into and rampage in the Palestinian areas, according to officials.
