Israeli settlers plant trees in Palestinian-owned land in northern Jordan Valley

Israeli settlers today planted trees in land belonging to Palestinians in al-Farsiya and Ein al-Hilweh areas, in the northern Jordan Valley, said local activist Aref Daraghmeh.

He said settlers continue to plant trees and seize lands in Khallet Khader area in al-Farsiya and around the al-Hilweh spring, which was seized months ago.

“For decades, the Israeli authorities have been implementing a policy aimed at driving out scores of communities, that are home to thousands of Palestinians. They have made living conditions miserable and intolerable with a view to establishing facts on the ground and taking over these areas,” said the Israeli information center for human rights in occupied territories, B’Tselem.
