Israeli settlers spray-painted insults directed at the prophet Muhammad along the road leading to the Dead Sea in Jericho.
Settlers were seen in a video circulating on social media chanting anti-Islam and Arab slogans containing insulting phrases of the Prophet Muhammad during the Israeli flag march which was held in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday to mark Israel’s capture and subsequent occupation of East Jerusalem in 1967 despite the escalating tensions throughout the Palestinian territories.
Palestinians have been marching in Jerusalem against Israeli racism and incitement and in response to the insults directed at prophet Mohammed during the flag march.
Israeli police cracked down on a similar rally at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday, violently quelling protesters.
