Muscat: Khazaen Dry Port, part of Asyad Group, has been officially designated as a final destination for receiving containers from global ports. The port has also inaugurated a secure customs corridor with Sohar Port, reinforcing the integration of Omani ports and boosting the efficiency of national supply chains.

According to Oman News Agency, the secure customs corridor represents a significant development in supporting the import, export, and re-export ecosystem for Oman's private sector. It enables traders and investors to transport goods smoothly and reliably within a streamlined customs environment, enhancing logistical efficiency, reducing operational costs, and providing Omani companies with seamless access to global markets. This initiative strengthens their competitiveness and supports private sector growth.

The project features an advanced customs system that allows clearance from a single station at Khazaen Port. It utilizes shipping agent guarantees instead of traditional customs bonds and accepts written guarantees, reducing time and effort while improving the beneficiary experience.
