Muscat: The Ministry of Labour today organized the Strategic Dialogue Forum in North Al Batinah Governorate to assess the realities of the labour market in the governorate and to take stock of key achievements, challenges, obstacles, available opportunities, and priority issues requiring strategic intervention.
According to Oman News Agency, in his address at the forum, Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, underscored the importance of integrated roles among the various beneficiary groups of the Ministry of Labour's services, in a manner that facilitates the collection of proposals capable of advancing the labour sector in the Sultanate of Oman and outlining the formulation of policies and strategies relating to beneficiaries.
The forum's programme comprised four main sessions, beginning with the opening session introducing the strategy project, the objectives of the visit, and the working methodology, followed by a workshop on analyzing the current situation, addressing key achievements, challenges, opportunities, and priority issues in the governorate.
The second session was dedicated to beneficiaries of the Ministry of Labour's services, reviewing their needs and expectations, examining the services of greatest importance and priority, and discussing opportunities to develop services and strengthen partnership and integration with the various relevant entities.
The third session addressed future foresight and the examination of future trends and priorities of importance to the governorate, while the closing session was devoted to presenting and discussing the outcomes, summarizing the results and next steps, thereby contributing to identifying initiatives that align with the governorate's needs and enhancing the quality of planning and the effectiveness of implementation.
