Salalah: Youth initiatives and entrepreneurship are essential pillars in supporting the national economy and enhancing sustainable development. They contribute to creating innovative projects that reflect the creativity of Omani youth and invest in natural and environmental potential, thereby boosting tourism and economic activity in various governorates. According to Oman News Agency, the "Lamer Tourist Project" in the Al Mughsail area of the Wilayat of Salalah has emerged as an innovative youth-led initiative. It was launched by a group of young people to transform a waterway leading to Khor Fadhkhit into a natural and modern tourist destination. Nader Bakhit Fadhil, the project's founder, explained that "Lamer" was first launched during the Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season in 2022. It is a qualitative addition to the governorate's tourism sector, leveraging the unique features of the Al Mughsail area, including its pristine beaches, natural fountains, and proximity to Al Marneef Cave. He affirmed that the idea stemmed from the desire to present a model of sustainable local investment that enhances the governorate's appeal and solidifies its position as a comprehensive tourist destination. He noted that the project's facilities are designed to meet the expectations of various groups. They include a section for restaurants and cafes, an area for children's games and cycling, and boat tours to explore the waterway in Khor Fadhkhit. Additionally, there is an artificial waterfall that adds an aesthetic and recreational element, along with well-equipped beachside seating areas for visitors' comfort.
