In an effort to honor Arab unity with her work, Lebanese singer, actress and performer Carole Samaha, 50, is set to release her new album titled “Al Album al-Dhahabi” (The Golden Album), featuring 12 songs, all poems written by the late, world-renowned Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.

Samaha said that the idea of the album came from the painful events and feelings that the Arab world has gone through.

“I present the album to our wounded Arab homeland so that our identity remains one… And our unity is Arab,” she said in a tweet.
