Ramallah - Ma'an - The Commander of the Customs Police Department, Major General Iyad Barakat, received in his office at the department's headquarters in Ramallah on Sunday afternoon, the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Rizq Salimiya. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture offered his condolences to the commander of the department and all members of the department for the martyrdom of their colleague, Officer Abdel Nasser Sarhan, who was martyred in the city of Tubas while performing his duty in serving the country. Major General Barakat welcomed this meeting, and stressed the importance of joint and integrated work with the ministry in the field in a way that enhances the steadfastness of farmers and supports agricultural and national products by combating smuggling, and enhancing cooperation between the two sides in this regard. Dr. Salimiya praised the integrated and joint work and the efforts of the police force in the field, and stressed the importance of developing it in a way that supports the Palestinian farmer and enhances his work and steadfastness in serving the community.
