Malki discusses latest developments on Palestinian, regional arena with Dutch counterpart

RAMALLAH, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki today discussed during a meeting in Ramallah with Dutch deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Wopke Hoekstra, the latest developments on the Palestinian and regional arena.

Malki reviewed during the meeting the escalating Israeli violations and crimes in the occupied Palestinian territory, stating that hardly a single day passes without the occupation authorities committing a new crime added to its series of continuing crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people, their land, properties, and sanctuaries.

He called on the international community to stop the double-standard policy and put an immediate end to Israel’s impunity, warning of the repercussions of Israel’s escalations in the occupied Palestinian territories and calling on the Kingdom of the Netherlands to recognize the state of Palestine in order to preserve the two-state solution.

Malki also praised the bilateral relations between the two countries, urging the need to strengthen and promote them. He further expressed appreciation for the Netherlands’ support of Palestinian institutions, and its support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

For his part, the Dutch foreign minister affirmed his country’s continuous support and position in support of Palestine based on the two-state solution and their keenness to promote bilateral relations.

The Dutch foreign minister further extended an invitation to Malki to visit the Netherlands.
