Muscat:The National Committee for Emergency Management convened today, chaired by Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsen Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the committee.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on several topics to improve the efficiency of the emergency response system.
The committee reviewed the current response to a grounded vessel near the Hallaniyat Islands in the Dhofar Governorate. It evaluated the latest developments and emphasized the importance of maintaining necessary measures to reduce potential risks to public safety and the marine environment in the Sultanate of Oman, aligning with established plans.
