The media office of Lebanon's Minister of Communications on Thursday announced in a statement that, "In an effort to alleviate the financial burden on students in bordering villages in southern Lebanon, especially amid the current security conditions that have forced several public schools to close, Minister of Communications Engineer Johnny Corm has issued a decision to have both local cellular companies, 'Alfa' and 'Touch,' provide an internet package for use by students in southern Lebanon, aimed at facilitating and activating remote learning (online). The package includes 20GB of free internet, which can only be used through MSteam, enabling students to continue their studies and use it during remote learning, given the difficult circumstances."
