Muscat: The Environment Authority today marked the conclusion of an environment protection competition that saw the participation of more than 1,000 school students from different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The closing ceremony of the competition was held under the auspices of Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority.
According to Oman News Agency, the competition's drawing contest attracted more than 300 students, while the environment video filming contest saw the participation of more than 500 students. Additionally, more than 300 students took part in the environmental essay writing contest.
The competition aimed to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment in young generations. The ceremony included a visual presentation that showcased the highlights of the competition. Students who won top places in the contests were felicitated at the conclusion of the ceremony.
