Muscat: Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index today closed at 4,855.52 points, marking a rise of 5.8 points (0.12%) from the previous session's close of 4,849.71 points. According to Oman News Agency, despite the increase in the index, the overall trading value experienced a notable decline. Trading value reached RO 20,921,057, reflecting a 17.2% decrease compared to the last session's RO 25,273,599. This drop in trading value comes amid a slight rise in the market value, which saw an increase of 0.051%, settling at approximately RO 29.42 billion. Non-Omani investors were active in the market, recording purchases worth RO 1,109,000, accounting for 5.30% of the total trading volume. Conversely, foreign investors' sales amounted to RO 1,824,000, representing 8.72% of the trading volume. As a result, net foreign investment decreased by RO 715,000, equivalent to 3.42%.
