MSX Index Climbs 68 Points as Trading Value Surges

Muscat: The MSX 30 Index closed today's trading session at 5,961.49 points, marking an increase of 68.5 points, or 1.16 percent, from its previous close of 5,893.02 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the total trading value saw a significant rise, reaching RO 41,802,113, up 9.3 percent from the last session's value of RO 37,801,745. This increase in trading activity reflects a growing investor interest in the market.

Furthermore, the Muscat Stock Exchange reported a boost in the total market capitalization, which rose by 0.397 percent from the previous trading day, bringing it to approximately RO 32.24 billion. This indicates a positive trend in the overall market value.

The session also witnessed substantial participation from non-Omani investors, whose purchase value amounted to RO 5,491,000, making up 13.30 percent of the total trading value. Their sales value was reported at RO 3,976,000, accounting for 9.63 percent of the total. Consequently, the net investment by non-Omani investors increased by RO 1,515,000, representing a 3.67 percent rise.
