Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index ended today's trading session at 7,288.56 points, experiencing a significant drop of 104.8 points, a decline of 1.42 percent from its previous close of 7,393.37 points. According to Oman News Agency, the trading value saw a sharp decrease, falling to RO 45,140,153. This represents a 48.3 percent reduction compared to the previous session's trading value of RO 87,262,662. Additionally, the market capitalization decreased by 0.547 percent from the last trading day, reaching approximately RO 36.08 billion, as noted in the official report issued by the MSX. Non-Omani investors played a notable role in today's trading activities. Their purchases amounted to RO 4,695,000, making up 10.40 percent of the total trading activity. Conversely, sales by non-Omani investors reached RO 8,689,000, accounting for 19.25 percent. This resulted in a net decline of RO 3,994,000, or 8.85 percent, in non-Omani investment.
