MSX Index Rises by 25 Points Amid Decrease in Trading Value

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 index closed today at 4,578.81 points, marking an increase of 25.7 points, or 0.56 percent, from the previous session's close of 4,553.15 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value for the day reached RO 9,090,338, which represents a decrease of 4.4 percent compared to the last session's trading value of RO 9,511,723. Despite the decline in trading value, the MSX report highlighted an increase in market capitalization by 0.302 percent from the previous day, bringing it to approximately RO 27.93 billion.

Non-Omani investors engaged in purchases totaling RO 436,000, making up 4.79 percent of the total trading activity. Their sales, however, were significantly higher at RO 927,000, accounting for 10.19 percent of the total. This led to a net investment decrease by non-Omani investors of RO 491,000, or 5.40 percent.
