The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation today announced the funding of 475 research proposals to the tune of RO 2,469,776. The funding benefits PhD researchers, Master's and Bachelor's researchers and students of universities and colleges in the Sultanate of Oman. The funding programme seeks to establish a motivating research environment at various academic levels. The research projects were submitted through 29 higher education institutions. The 475 projects were distributed as follows: 158 research projects were funded in the interest of academic researchers holding doctorate in 2024 (RO 20,000 set for each research project to be carried out within a maximum of two years), 145 projects were funded for holders of Bachelors and Masters degrees (RO 3,000 each) and 172 projects were funded for other higher education students (each allocated RO 1,500 each).
