Occupation forces arrest Palestinian footballer Ahmed Abu Khadija

Israeli occupation forces last night arrested Ahmed Abu Khadija, a footballer of Jabal Al Mukaber Club, based in occupied Jerusalem. A few hours earlier, Abu Khadija had been crowned champion of the Professional Football League.

WAFA correspondent reported that Abu Khadija was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces hours after his team won the Professional League title.

Jabal Al-Mukaber Club said in a Facebook post that its player Abu Khadija was arrested on his way home, hours after the club was crowned with the Professional League title.

Meantime, Israeli occupation forces seized two vehicles belonging to a former prisoner in Israeli jails and the father of a former prisoner, as part of Israel’s ongoing crackdown on former prisoners and their families in Jerusalem.

This attack on the prisoners and their families comes after the decision of ultranationalist Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir (National Security) and Bezalel Smotrich (Finance) to seize the funds of 87 Palestinian prisoners and former prisoners in occupied Jerusalem.
