Occupation forces set up checkpoints in Hebron, obstructs traffic

HEBRON, Israeli occupation forces last night escalated their deployment in the occupied West Bank district of Hebron, and set up several checkpoints that handicapped the Palestinian traffic at the entrances to the towns and villages in the district, according to Palestinian security sources.

The occupation forces reportedly set up flying checkpoints at the entrances to the towns of Yatta, Karmel, Al-Fawwar refugee camp, Idhna, ad-Dhahiriya, Al-Arroub refugee camp, Halhul, and Nabi Younes.

The soldiers at the checkpoints checked the identity cards of drivers and passengers and checked some of the vehicles, causing a traffic jam and delays at most of the checkpoints. No arrests were reported.
