Muscat: An official talks session was held here today between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in the fields of endowments and religious affairs. During the session, the Omani side was headed by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, while the Algerian side was headed by Mohammed Al Maamoun Al Qasimi Al Hassani, Minister of State and Dean of the Great Mosque of Algiers. According to Oman News Agency, the session focused on exchanging expertise that augment the role of mosques in the community. It also highlighted several Omani experiences in the fields of endowments and religious affairs. The two sides underscored the importance of mosques and endowments as means for spreading religious and humanitarian values and consolidating social ties.
