Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held a meeting with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of regular diplomatic exchanges between the two nations.
According to Oman News Agency, the bilateral meeting focused on the ongoing growth of relations between Oman and Saudi Arabia, examining political and regional matters of mutual interest. The dialogue also concentrated on strengthening coordination on these issues.
An expanded session followed, featuring ministers and senior officials from both countries. Discussions centered on cooperation in economic, investment, and logistic sectors, aiming to enhance trade flow and partnership opportunities both bilaterally and regionally, including within the GCC framework.
The meeting also addressed joint initiatives through the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030, and examined the private sector's role in these partnerships.
In addressing regional and international issues, the talks highlighted the importance of the Strait of Hormuz for global trade and energy security. Both sides emphasized de-escalation and diplomatic efforts to maintain safe maritime navigation.
The Omani delegation included Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Sheikh Khalid bin Hashil Al Maslahi, and Mohsen bin Hamad Al Hadhrami. The Saudi delegation featured Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al Rumaih, Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al Sati, Eng. Majid Al Otaibi, Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, and other senior officials.
