Jeddah: The Sultanate of Oman today took part in meetings of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), held in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The events included the 15th session of the ARABOSAI General Assembly and the 69th and 70th meetings of the organization's Executive Council.
According to Oman News Agency, the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman to the meetings was led by Sheikh Ghosn bin Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority. The 69th and 70th meetings of the ARABOSAI Executive Council discussed reports of the panels tasked with institutional capacity building, professional and oversight standards, the monitoring of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and information technology. These discussions also included the endorsement of the 2024 final account and the approval of the 2026-2028 financial programme.
The organization's 15th session discussed the Executive Council's report on measures undertaken by the Council to ensure the implementation of the work programme endorsed by the General Assembly during the previous session. The session also reviewed the Executive Council Chairman's report on the organization's financial situation, as well as the approval of the audited financial statements for the previous session, among other topics on the agenda.
