Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth today inaugurated a two-day Omani-Bahraini Photographic Art Exhibition. The event took place under the auspices of Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, and was held at the Omani Society for Arts in Muscat Governorate.
According to Oman News Agency, the exhibition features the works of four photographers from each country, showcasing the creative potential of artists from Oman and Bahrain in the realm of photography. The photographers representing the Sultanate of Oman are Ghania Salim Al Majrafi, Musa Salim Al Hajri, Aiman Qasim Al Balushi, and Majid Obaid Al Amri. Their Bahraini counterparts include Sawsan Tahir, Hussein Fardan, Mahdi Al Jalawi, and Mohammed Al Hajr.
The exhibition aims to share the experiences of these photographers and portray the cultures of Oman and Bahrain through a 'Third Eye' perspective. This perspective focuses on the aesthetic, civilizational, and cultural aspects as captured through the photographers' lenses. Additionally, the exhibition seeks to symbolize the deep-rooted relations between the two nations.
Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, along with individuals interested in photographic art, talents, and enthusiasts, attended the opening ceremony.
