Muscat:The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Sultanate of Oman at constant prices achieved a growth of 5.1 percent during the second quarter of 2026, amounting to approximately RO 9.9 billion. This marks an increase from about RO 9.4 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
According to Oman News Agency, preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information highlighted that petroleum activities saw a significant growth of 14.7 percent in the second quarter of 2026, reaching around RO 3.4 billion, compared to about RO 3 billion in the same period the previous year.
In contrast, non-petroleum activities experienced a modest increase of 0.7 percent during the second quarter of 2026, totaling approximately RO 7.0 billion, up from about RO 6.8 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
The data also showed a 2.3 percent rise in agriculture and fishing activities, achieving a value of RO 325 million, compared to RO 317.8 million in the second quarter of 2025.
However, industrial activities recorded a decline of 1.5 percent, amounting to approximately RO 1.9 billion, down from about RO 2.0 billion in the same period of the previous year.
Additionally, service activities increased by 1.5 percent, reaching approximately RO 4.6 billion, compared to about RO 4.5 billion in the second quarter of 2025.
