Muscat:The Ministry of Economy convened with a World Bank Group delegation to explore opportunities for technical cooperation and knowledge exchange in the circular economy. This meeting coincided with the World Bank Group's technical visit to Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry provided insights into the national circular economy project's key outcomes. These included identifying gaps in the circular economy, establishing a national baseline, and creating a roadmap for priority policies aimed at achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040. The project focuses on enhancing economic diversification and sustainability.
Future cooperation prospects were also discussed, such as measuring progress in implementing circular economy practices, utilizing international experiences and benchmarks, analyzing associated opportunities and challenges, and evaluating the impact on the competitiveness of Oman's economic sectors.
