Open Track Night to turn up the heat this Friday evening at BIC


Manama, Track temperatures are set to rise this weekend at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) with another exciting edition of Open Track Night one of the most popular activities for race enthusiasts available only at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”.

Taking place on Friday evening, BIC’s bright, state-of-the-art floodlights will be shining down on all taking part who will be bringing their very own cars or motorbikes and pushing them to their limits along a world-famous Formula 1 circuit.

Open Track Night is the ultimate experience for speed lovers, as they will get to enjoy the sheer power of their vehicles within a safe and controlled environment.

Friday’s event will be held from 6pm to 9pm along BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Track the same raced on in the various national championships that take place throughout the year.

The cost to be a part of Open Track Night, when booked in advance, is BD99 for the full night, BD71.500 for half the night, and BD33 for a single session. Prices when booke
d on the day itself are BD115.500 for the full night, BD82.500 for half the night, and BD44 for a single session.

Instructor sessions are also available at an extra cost, while additional drivers and passengers can also participate for a fee.

Open Track is one of the most highly attended activities at BIC, with participants being able to satisfy their desire for an adrenaline-pumping thrill. All this, while having the peace of mind to relish their vehicle’s capabilities in a controlled environment, and under the tight supervision of circuit officials.

Driver etiquette is of utmost importance in every Open Track event, so there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous maneuvers being dealt with swiftly.
