RAMALLAH, Palestine today confirmed 370 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.

She announced that the six deaths were all in the Gaza Strip where 240 of the new cases were recorded while 130 cases were registered in the West Bank.

She added that 187 Covid-19 patients recovered in the West Bank and 800 others in the Gaza Strip.

Alkaila pointed that 61 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 190 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including 15 who are on ventilators.

She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 97.5 percent and the active cases account for 1.5 percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
