Palestine records 386 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths

RAMALLAH, Palestine today recorded 386 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.

She announced that 386 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and three others died of it in the occupied territories.

As part of the 386 new cases, 248 cases were registered in the West Bank and 138 others in the Gaza Strip.

She identified the death cases as residents of the West Bank.

She added that 219 Covid-19 patients recovered; 75 recovery cases in the West Bank and 144 others in the Gaza Strip.

She pointed that 42 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 79 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including eight who are on ventilators.

She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 98.4 percent and the active cases account for 0.6 percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
