Palestinian detainee sentenced to three years in Israeli prisons

JENIN, Islam Asri Fayyad, a Palestinian citizen from Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, has been sentenced to three years in Israeli prisons.

Fayyad’s family told WAFA that not only their son was sentenced to three years in prison, but that he was fined at 9 shekels ($2,800).

Meantime in occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police detained two Palestinians, including a 13-year-old child identified as Sohaib Abu Nab, while on their way to perform the weekly Friday prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the city.

The child was reportedly assaulted by the Israeli police during his detention.
