A Palestinian prisoner from Qalqilia completed today 19 years behind Israeli bars for resisting the occupation, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
PPS said prisoner Mohammed Khatib, 39, was detained after two and a half years of being pursued by Israeli forces and sentenced to a lifetime and 30 years of incarceration.
He was subjected to a long harsh investigation following his arrest and is currently incarcerated in Nafha Israeli jail.
There are 4,600 Palestinian detainees, including 172 minors and 31 women, currently languishing in Israeli prisons, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission.
