PCBS: Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings

A decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings has been noted in the month of November 2022, according to a press release by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

It said that the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 119.54 with a decrease of 0.16% during November 2022 compared with October 2022 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material decreased by 0.27%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.19%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during November 2022 compared with the previous month.

The statement added that the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank reached 118.65 with a decrease of 0.16% during November 2022 compared with October 2022 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material decreased by 0.25%, and the prices of rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.07%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during November 2022 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank reached 120.02 with a decrease of 0.20% during November 2022 compared with October 2022 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw materials decreased by 0.30%, and the price of rental of equipment decreased by 0.18%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during November 2022 compared with the previous month.

The PCBS said that the overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank reached 115.74 with an increase of 0.27% during November 2022 compared with October 2022 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of operating costs of equipment and maintenance increased by 1.82%, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.57%, and the price of raw material increased by 0.25%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during November 2022 compared with the previous month.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank reached 129.32 with an increase of 0.15% during November 2022 compared with October 2022 (Base month January 2010=100).

Water networks Cost Index reached 132.53 with an increase of 0.26%. While, water reservoirs Cost Index reached 122.24 with a slight decrease of 0.09% during November 2022 compared with October 2022.

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank reached 115.40 with an increase of 0.20% during November 2022 compared with October 2022 (Base month January 2010=100).
