RAMALLAH, Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh met today at his office in Ramallah with the British Consul General in Jerusalem Diane Corner, where he briefed her on the latest political and economic developments.

They also discussed the agenda of the upcoming Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC) donors’ meeting to be held next week in Oslo, and ways to successfully overcome the political and financial challenges facing the Palestinian people.

The Prime Minister reviewed the difficult financial situation that the State of Palestine is experiencing due to the decline in external support and the rise in unfair Israeli deductions from the Palestinian clearing funds, which he stressed will affect the government’s fulfillment of all its financial obligations.
