The General Political Commissioner, spokesman for the security services, Major General Talal Dweikat, said that Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh instructed the formation of an immediate and impartial investigation committee, regarding the death of citizen Nizar Banat after his arrest by the security forces, in implementation of the Public Prosecution’s decision.

Major General Dweikat added, in a phone conversation with WAFA, that there is no objection to the participation of human rights institutions in the investigation committee, stressing that the government is ready to take any measures that result from the findings that the committee will reach in this regard.
